WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO PARTICIPATE?
Our events are aimed at adults who are members of the international EGL community. (Our target audience covers the following age group 16-60) However, if you are not of legal age, we recommend that you attend accompanied by an adult.
WHAT IS EGL?
is a type of youth subculture originating in Japan based on the Victorian era, as well as Rococo era clothes, but its style has diversified beyond these. The EGL look began to be distinguished mainly by its focus on materials and the manufacture of clothes. The classic silhouette included a knee-length skirt with a bell shape given by various petticoats, but evolved to include ankle-length skirts and corsets. Blouses, knee-length socks or stockings and headgear are also part of the customarily worn clothes. EGL fashion has evolved into many different sub-styles and is present as a youth subculture in different parts of the world.
HOW MUCH DO YOU EARN FROM YOUR EVENTS?
ours is a non-profit association. Proceeds from ticket sales go to cover 100% of the costs of organising the event itself (e.g. location, catering, goodiebags, special guests, etc.). The entire team is always made up of volunteers who agree to be part of this for the sole purpose of promoting the passion for EGL fashion and introducing our area to the international community.
